Terms of use
These terms cover the ledgercopy.com website and any trial request submitted through it. A trial or subscription runs under a separate written agreement, not under this page.
1. Scope, and who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and LedgerCopy, 30 North Gould Street, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States.
They apply to your use of the ledgercopy.com website and to any trial request you submit through it. They take effect when you use the site.
A LedgerCopy trial or subscription is not governed by this page. It runs under the separate written agreement issued for that engagement. Where this page and that agreement differ, the written agreement governs the service.
The law and forum that apply to this website and to a trial request are stated under governing law below. The written agreement for a trial or subscription states its own.
2. Using this website
You may read, print, quote and link to the pages on this site. No account is needed to read anything here.
You may not:
- Attempt to disrupt the site, or to reach systems behind it that are not published for public use.
- Submit the trial form by automated means, or at a volume intended to load it. Automated submissions are rejected and repeated ones may be blocked.
- Submit an email address you are not authorised to use, or misrepresent the organisation you are asking on behalf of.
The site is served on demand and may be unavailable during maintenance or failure. These terms make no availability commitment for the website.
3. Trial requests
Submitting the trial form records your work email address, the source platform you selected if you selected one, and the request context set out in the privacy notice. That is the whole of what the form does.
A submitted request does not create a trial, an account, or an obligation on either side. A trial begins only under a written agreement, after the scoping conversation described on the pricing model page. Either side may decline before that point, and no reason is owed.
A trial runs for 14 days and no credit card is required to start it. Its scope, and anything charged after it, are set out in the written agreement before it begins.
To have a request deleted, write to mail at ledgercopy.com from the address you submitted. Deletion is actioned within 30 days of the request being verified, and trial request records are otherwise kept for 24 months from the last contact.
4. What LedgerCopy is, in binding terms
This section states the boundary in binding terms. It uses the same definitions as the rest of the site.
- What the service doesLedgerCopy maintains an independent, dated copy of supported QuickBooks Online or Xero ledger data. Each run reports the source it read, its completion time, the supported object groups it covered, record counts, and exceptions.
- It does not replace the source platformYour QuickBooks Online or Xero organisation remains your system of record. LedgerCopy reads from it and does not act in place of it.
- It does not restore into the source platformLedgerCopy does not write to the source platform and does not return data to it.
- A completed run is not a tested exportA completed run is a record of what was copied on that date. It is not evidence of a tested export, not evidence of a restore, and not a certified backup.
- Coverage is source-dependentThe supported object groups for a given organisation are confirmed in writing during scoping. Nothing on this website extends that scope.
The export boundary is described in full on the coverage page.
5. Accuracy of website content
Coverage, object groups and figures shown on this site describe supported scope in general terms. The coverage statement that applies to your organisation is the one confirmed in writing during scoping. Where the two differ, the written statement applies.
Figures inside the product illustration are labelled Example. They are illustrative, they are not drawn from any organisation's data, and they are not a performance claim.
Pages change as the product changes. The version of a page you read today is a description of the product today, not a commitment for a future date.
6. Intellectual property
The content of this site, including text, layout, illustrations and the LedgerCopy wordmark, belongs to LedgerCopy. You may quote from it or link to it with attribution.
You may not use the LedgerCopy name or wordmark in a way that suggests LedgerCopy produced, endorsed or supplied something it did not. QuickBooks Online and Xero are named here as the source platforms LedgerCopy reads from; their names and marks belong to their owners.
Anything you send through the site stays yours. It is used to answer your request.
7. Liability and disclaimers
This section is scoped to the website and to the trial request. Liability for a trial or a subscription is set in the written agreement for that engagement, not here.
The website is provided as it stands. LedgerCopy does not warrant that it is uninterrupted or free of error, and does not accept liability for a decision taken on the strength of general website content instead of a written coverage statement.
So far as the law allows, LedgerCopy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
Any dispute arising from this website or from a trial request submitted through it is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Wyoming, United States.
A trial or subscription runs under its own written agreement. That agreement states the law and the forum that apply to it, and where it differs from this section, it governs the service.
Nothing in this section removes a protection available to you under the mandatory law of the place you live.
9. Contact and changes
Questions about these terms go to mail at ledgercopy.com. It is the only public address for LedgerCopy, and post reaches LedgerCopy at the address in section 1.
Changed terms are published on this page with a new last-updated date. A change that affects a live trial or subscription is made through the written agreement for that engagement, not by editing this page.
LedgerCopy trial
Request a trial and scope the copy.
A trial conversation establishes four things: the source platform you use, the ledger objects that matter to you, the cadence you need, and the review or continuity workflow the copy has to fit.
What to have ready
- Which organisation or company file the copy would cover.
- Who can authorise a read-only connection at the source platform.
- Which object groups you check at close.
