The unit

What is charged for is one company file

A company file is one authorised QuickBooks Online or Xero organisation. The subscription is attached to that organisation, and its run history belongs to it.

One file
One authorised organisation, with its own dated runs, its own confirmed object groups, and its own exception record.
A second file
A second organisation is a second subscription. Coverage is source-dependent and is confirmed per organisation, so files are scoped and priced separately.
People
People who read run reports are not charged for. There is no per-seat component, so adding a colleague who checks the copy at close does not change the price.

Subscription scope

What the subscription covers

A subscription covers one file as it was scoped. The written coverage statement for your organisation and the quoted subscription describe the same scope.

Inside the agreed scope

  • Dated runs at the agreed cadenceEach run reads the authorised organisation and records its result against the date it completed.
  • The run report and its historySource, completion time, supported object groups, record counts, and exceptions, kept per dated run rather than overwritten by the next one.
  • The object groups confirmed in scopingThe supported groups named in the written coverage statement for your organisation.
  • The exception recordEvery exception is raised against the object group it belongs to, carries a count, and stays attached to the run that raised it.

Outside it, and what would change a price

  • Object groups outside the confirmed scopeAdding a group changes what every run reads. Coverage is source-dependent, so the group is checked against the source platform before it is agreed.
  • A cadence other than the one agreedCopying more often changes the work carried per file, so the cadence is part of the quote rather than a setting that moves on its own.
  • Additional organisationsEach authorised organisation carries its own subscription, its own coverage statement, and its own runs.

The honest part

Why there is no number on this page

Object scope and cadence differ enough between files that one published number would be wrong for most people reading it. Four object groups copied daily is not the same work as one group copied weekly, and what is supported for either is source-dependent until it is checked against the platform. So the price is quoted after scoping, against the coverage statement written for your organisation, and the quote names the file it applies to.

There is no list price held back for a call. The figure is set per file, it is put in writing before anything is agreed, and it is quoted next to the coverage it pays for.

Getting to a price

What happens between the request and a price

Four steps sit between a trial request and a quoted subscription. Each one produces something you can read.

  1. Step 01 — Request a trialYou send a work email address and, if you already know it, the source platform the file sits on. The trial runs for 14 days and no credit card is required to start it.
  2. Step 02 — Scoping exchangeAn exchange over email establishes the source platform, the ledger objects that matter to you, the cadence you need, and the review or continuity workflow the copy has to fit.
  3. Step 03 — Written coverage statementYou get the supported object groups for your organisation in writing, with the boundary stated: a completed run is a record of what was copied, not evidence of a tested restore.
  4. Step 04 — A quoted subscriptionThe quote covers that file, at that cadence, for that object scope, so the price and the coverage statement describe the same thing.

Questions

Direct answers on the price

Is there a free plan?

No. LedgerCopy is a paid subscription per company file. The trial is a scoped conversation and a trial run over 14 days, not a free tier that continues after it.

Is it charged monthly or annually?

The billing period is agreed during scoping and stated in the quote, alongside the cadence and the object scope. It is not fixed here, because it is part of the same agreement as the price.

Does a trial cost anything?

No. The trial runs for 14 days and no credit card is required to start it. Requesting one commits you to nothing, and what the trial covers is set out in writing before it starts.

Pricing, step one

Request a trial for one company file.

A trial conversation establishes four things: the source platform you use, the ledger objects that matter to you, the cadence you need, and the review or continuity workflow the copy has to fit.

What to have ready

  • Which organisation or company file the copy would cover.
  • Who can authorise a read-only connection at the source platform.
  • Which object groups you check at close.
